There are different kinds of food that you can give to your children. These foods are yummylicious and are so hard to resist. However, these foods might not contain all the nutrients that your children need to enhance his health. It is therefore important for you to know the right foods that you can give to your children as its part of their overall protection.
The foods should be nutritious. It should be rich in vitamins and minerals that can enhance the health of your children. These nutritious foods will not help your children’s physical growth; it should also help the development of your children’s brain to keep your children mentally alert.
Some of these foods that can help make your children physically and mentally alert are:
1.      Milk, yogurt, cheese, tofu, sardines, green beans, spinach, broccoli- are calcium rich foods which are needed for the formation of the bones and teeth. It can also support blood clotting.
2.      Mango, broccoli,  squash, carrots, tomato juice, sweet potatoes, green leafy vegetables, etc.- are Vitamin A (retinol) rich foods which are good for the eyes, skin, bone, tooth growth, immunity and reproduction.
3.       Mango, orange, grapefruit juice, strawberries, etc. - are Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) rich foods helps iron absorption. It is also an antioxidant and can prevent colds.
4.      Eggs, meat, liver, chicken, ham, lean pork chops, etc.- are Vitamin B rich foods which support energy metabolism, nerve function, normal vision and skin health.
5.      Milk, egg yolk, liver, fatty fish, sunlight- Rich in Vitamin D which promotes bone mineralization.
6.      Tofu, avocado, sweet potatoes, shrimp, etc.- are Vitamin E rich foods which is an antioxidant, regulation of oxidation reactions, support cell membrane stabilization.
